Tom Smyth is the creator of Gather, "The App for Community". He is also a founder and worker-owner at Sassafras Tech Collective, a worker cooperative tech consulting firm specializing in work for non-profit and social justice clients. He holds a Ph.D in computer science from Georgia Tech. He has lived at Touchstone Cohousing in Ann Arbor for going on six years and is a father of one.
