Eli Spevak, a local affordable Cohousing developer and resident, will lead a half-day to Peninsula Park Commons – a 10-unit condo project which includes significant sustainability features; Cully Grove – a 16 townhouse and detached home new construction project opened in 2013 with a substantial urban garden - and Mason Street Townhomes – a newly constructed 14-home community incorporating common space, green building features and affordability. Eli will discuss the various strategies he uses to achieve affordability and environmental sustainability.
Peninsula Park Commons is a nine-unit combination of rehabilitation of an existing apartment building and new construction. apartment building located in the heart of the Piedmont Neighborhood. In the summer of 2004 the property was converted to condominiums, and units were sold to individuals, couples, and families.
